Gerry Pollet is a graduate of the UW Law School. He has lived in North Seattle and has worked to improve our community for 28 years. Gerry chose to devote his legal career to protecting consumers and the environment, and promoting open government.
Gerry is a nationally recognized environmental leader who successfully led two statewide campaigns to protect our state from being used as a national nuclear waste dump and to clean up Hanford.
As a public interest attorney, Gerry has written and led successful efforts to pass legislation to protect consumers, protect our children and our neighborhoods from dangerous chemicals and toxic waste, stop urban sprawl and manage growth, and to keep government open and accessible for all our citizens – not just the special interests.
As our next Representative in Olympia, Gerry Pollet will be a Champion to:
- Give our children the education they deserve by increasing school funding, reducing class sizes and making higher education available and affordable for everyone.
- Strengthen our environmental laws and clean up Puget Sound.
- Make our state a leader in the fight against global warming
- Increase funding for buses and light rail.
- Promote openness and accountability in our government.
- Guarantee affordable health care for all of our children, families and seniors, as a right.
- Protect retirees from being taxed out of their homes.
Gerry runs his campaign based on the same principles he will represent.
Gerry doesn’t accept special interest corporate contributions.
He will be dedicated to pass legislation for fundamental campaign finance reform to remove the influence of contributions from corporate special interests and their lobbyists.
